Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Adoptest collects when you use the app or this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
1. Who we are
Adoptest is a ServeSkill company and provides a documentation verification tool. For data you place in the app, your organisation is the controller and ServeSkill acts as processor. For this marketing website, ServeSkill is the controller. Contact: connect@adoptest.com.
2. What we collect
- Account identifiers supplied by the platform you install the app in: workspace identifier, user identifier, display name and, where the platform provides it, the email address of the installing administrator.
- Page and source metadata: titles, identifiers, version numbers, content hashes and timestamps.
- Mapping records: which page you linked to which source artifact.
- Findings that have already been shown to you, so we do not repeat them.
- Approval records: who approved a finding, when, and the versions involved.
- Operational data: counters for plan limits, and error logs that do not contain page content.
3. What we do not collect
- We do not store page content. Content is read, compared and discarded within a single check.
- We do not collect personal content, attachments or files beyond the comparison itself.
- We do not track you across other websites and we do not sell data to anyone.
- We do not build advertising profiles.
4. Why we process it
To run the checks you ask for, to deliver findings to the right person, to keep a verification record you can inspect, to enforce plan limits, and to provide support. On the marketing site, to answer an early access request you submit.
5. Where data is held
App data is held within the app infrastructure of the platform you install into, and follows your instance's region. We do not replicate it to a different region.
6. Retention
- Findings and verification history: kept for the current check on Free, 90 days on Pro, and for the life of the subscription on Prime and Enterprise.
- Approval and audit records: kept for the life of the subscription.
- After uninstall or account closure, all data is deleted within 30 days, other than records we must keep for accounting or legal reasons.
- Error logs: 30 days.
7. Sub-processors
The platform hosting your instance processes data as part of running the app. A model within that platform reads prose into structured steps. Deterministic code judges whether sources agree. Content is not used to train models. If you switch on link checking, the app contacts only the linked sites needed to test those links. We will update this section before adding another processor.
8. Your rights
You can ask us for access to the data we hold, a machine-readable export, correction, or deletion. Where you are the controller, we will act on your instruction. Email connect@adoptest.com and we respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Cookies
The app sets no tracking cookies. This marketing site uses only what is strictly necessary to serve the pages you request. We do not run advertising or cross-site analytics trackers, which is why you do not see a consent banner.
10. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to staff who need it, and we use least-privilege permissions in the app itself. See our security page for details and for how to report a vulnerability.
11. Children
Adoptest is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 16.
12. Changes to this policy
We update the “last updated” date at the top for any change. For a material change we email workspace administrators at least 30 days before it takes effect.
13. Contact
Privacy, data and security requests: connect@adoptest.com.
